Thank you to everyone who participated in the FIVE Squared benefit art show and sale, either as a contributing artist or as a patron. The final tally is in, showing that we raised more than $3500 for the arts and humanities scholarship fund.
Artists were credited with a $25 donation per piece sold, and many donated their remaining works to the Y for use in upcoming events. That speaks to the generosity of our artistic community!
The next show at the Y will be centered: slightly off-center, a senior citizen art show with opening reception on Sunday, June 22nd. In October, we'll be holding our second But I Know What I Like juried show in conjunction with the sixth annual Afternoon of the Arts.
The Davis Family YMCA is committed to its role as a community cultural space, offering a variety of A&H classes in addition to three yearly art shows.
